Un mirlo en la nieve was founded in the year 2008 by Martín 'Blackbird' Gijón as a creative studio focused on web design and software development. For near a decade it completed multimedia projects for universities and private companies.

In 2017 it ceased its generalist freelance approach and focused in becoming exclusively an indie video game studio.

In 2023 it changes its name to Geek Fox Studio.
